The UIB has a marked international spirit, and is therefore equipped with the necessary tools for lecturers and researchers from all over the world to undertake stays at our institution. At the same time, we aim for UIB teaching and research staff members to broaden their horizons at other universities, where they can acquire new skills whilst contributing to knowledge transfer and the dissemination of research results.

These tools are included in the Research Promotion Programme and comprise the following:

• Visiting lecturers on short visits
• Young guest researchers on short visits
• Grant programme for hiring postdoctoral researchers
• Grant programme for participating in the Horizon 2020 programme
• Grants for organising conferences at the UIB
• Grants for conference attendance and research visits
• Grants for research publication and dissemination
